Approach / Work done

The client required advanced B2B functionality and tighter system integration with Acumatica ERP. Our team was engaged to implement a range of specific features and infrastructure updates to improve operational reliability and ordering workflows.

What We Delivered:
  • Restricted product availability based on customer group using Custom Fields, ensuring that specific items could only be purchased by authorized user segments.
  • Created a custom template for bundled products using the “Pick List” modifier. This allowed users to purchase a main item along with pre-approved organizational decorations as a single bundled selection.
  • Rebuilt the functionality for adding bundled products to the cart to ensure proper data transmission to Acumatica. Due to limitations in the native setup, we developed a custom cart mechanism that reliably handled the product data transfer required for batch ordering.
  • Updated the existing BigCommerce theme to the latest version, resolving component compatibility issues. This included testing and deploying the refreshed theme to an active production environment without downtime.

Project Results

Sales restrictions and bundled product functionality were successfully implemented and fully integrated with Acumatica. These enhancements improved control over user access, streamlined complex ordering processes, and strengthened back-office system reliability - providing a more structured and scalable e-commerce platform for B2B operations.
