In preparation for an upcoming NetSuite ERP implementation, the client engaged our team to conduct a full audit of their Shopify website. The goal was to identify legacy systems, applications, and code components that could disrupt customer experience or interfere with operational processes - particularly inventory management.

What We Delivered:
  • Conducted stakeholder interviews to understand current workflows, operational pain points, and system dependencies.
  • Investigated data flow processes with a focus on how inventory data is tracked, transferred, and reconciled.
  • Performed a code audit to assess technical debt, outdated components, and inefficient customizations.
  • Reviewed all Shopify apps (public and private) to identify unused, outdated, or misconfigured tools that could affect performance or security.
  • Evaluated front-end performance, including load speed and responsiveness, to ensure an optimal user experience.
  • Completed a technical SEO audit to highlight indexing issues, visibility risks, and opportunities for organic growth.
  • Performed a UI/UX evaluation to uncover areas for future optimization in user interaction and navigation.

Project Results

The audit identified a critical issue: a discrepancy between actual warehouse stock and book inventory. This gap was flagged as a major risk ahead of NetSuite ERP integration and must be addressed to avoid downstream data inconsistencies. In addition, the review highlighted a range of outdated or misconfigured Shopify apps, revealing both security concerns and inefficiencies. These findings offer a clear roadmap for resolving technical debt and ensuring operational readiness for the ERP rollout.
