The client faced significant challenges with their Magento platform, prompting a migration to BigCommerce. Primary issues included high licensing fees, customization complexities, performance limitations, and integration difficulties with other systems.

Magento required costly customizations, struggled with increased traffic, and demanded specialized expertise. Integration with existing systems was complex, leading to compatibility issues and data synchronization problems. It also lacked comprehensive marketing tools, hindering effective campaigns and personalized shopping experiences.

To address these challenges, BigCommerce was chosen as the new e-commerce platform, offering better scalability and value for investment.

The migration process involved a carefully selected marketplace theme, allowing seamless integration of customizations and branding elements. React.js was used for building dynamic user interfaces, while GraphQL enhanced data querying efficiency, improving overall performance and user experience.

BundleB2B, a powerful B2B extension for BigCommerce, was implemented to provide essential features like custom pricing, bulk ordering, and account management capabilities.

Targeted customizations, focusing on areas like hazmat products and checkout processes, were achieved using BigCommerce’s API and SDK. These tailored solutions met the client’s unique requirements.
