Approach / Work done

The client company needed a tailored B2B solution based on the BigCommerce platform to enhance the purchasing experience for their dealers. Before this solution, customers could only browse the catalog and manually place orders by calling in.

Key Features Implemented:
1) $5,000 Minimum First Order Requirement:

Implemented a minimum order requirement for new users without prior orders.
Users can browse the catalog and add items, but checkout is restricted for orders below $5,000.
A prominent message is displayed above disabled checkout buttons, ensuring visibility and consistency across all pages, including mobile.

2) Custom Product Calculator:

Introduced a feature enabling administrators to manage 6-10 customizable product families in BigCommerce.
Users can configure parameters, view estimated prices, and submit the form, generating a quote for the client’s company.
Leveraged the B2B “My Quote” feature, allowing users to modify quotes in the admin interface after submission, enhancing flexibility.
