The company had a legacy B2B commerce portal that was unusable and did not provide the functionality requested by customers. We wanted a complete redesign on a modern platform capable of integrating with their back-end systems without requiring excessive maintenance.
The biggest technical challenge of the project was integrating with an obsolete ERP that held information about 200,000+ SKUs and had highly dynamic margin-based price rules.
We chose BigCommerce B2B Edition as the platform for the implementation and leveraged BigCommerce’s robust APIs for data synchronization between the systems (PIM, ERP).
The customer experience was tailored to provide different information depending on the customer group (guest, consumer, or B2B customer) and optimized for a convenient purchasing process.
