About The Client

Founded in 1997, Gem Shopping Network is the leading omni-channel platform for selling fine jewelry, colored gemstones in the United States.

The company helps customers find standout pieces through a high-quality selection of designer goods, collections, estate jewelry and more. Gem Shopping offers gold from 14 to 24 carats, top-quality diamonds, colored stones from the smallest to the highest quality and precision workmanship.

Approach / Work done

Previous agency had a very inefficient work process
– The Client was not allowed to see their own task backlog
– Development work took too long and there was not enough clarity on the timeline
– An unproportionate amount of hours was spent on coordination and “strategy” leaving too little for development
– There was not enough transparency on the state of the code base.
– The Client’s general sentiment was lack of guidance and low cost/value ratio.

Our team conducted a set of discovery sessions with the Client stakeholders (CTO, marketing department, web and ERP development team) to get a clear picture of Client’s priorities and current challenges.

Project Results

Access team conducted a comprehensive audit of the website codebase and documented a detailed report to capture the current state of things as well as proposed next steps and high-level cost estimates for the Client’s management team to make educated decisions and plan accordingly.
